Starting in September:
-
Focus on the basics: Make sure you're comfortable with all topics covered in Grades 5 and 6. Attempt the topic worksheets. Aim to complete all Grades 5 and 6 topics by December. If you get stuck on a topic, watch a video for a quick refresher
-
Level up: Starting January until the end of March (12 weeks), move on to challenging yourself with Grades 7 and 8/9 past exam questions. Aim to complete all Grades 7 ,8 & 9 topics by end of March, before you break for Easter holidays.
During the Easter break (1 April onwards):
-
Exam practice time! This is when you put your skills to the test. Do past and predicted exam papers regularly. Aim for 1 paper every 2-3 days or 3 papers a week minimum. Scroll down for past exam papers.
-
Tackle it solo first: Try each question without peeking at the answers.
-
Check your work: Once you've attempted the whole paper, review your answers using detailed solutions in the video walkthrough.
-
Fill in the gaps: If you come across tricky topics, watch our Ultimate Revision Videos for a quick refresher.
-
Goal: Aim to complete at least 18-20 exam papers in the 6 weeks leading up to your first exam (usually mid-May)
Remember: Consistent practice is key! By following this plan and using our resources, you'll be well on your way to conquering your GCSE Maths exams.
Good luck!
